Q1. How is the liquidity available for CFD FX?
CFD FX has substantial liquidity provided by our liquidity providers using more than a dozen top global banks and streaming prices via their aggregation engine. You can trade from as low as $1000 value up to $30.0M in a single trade.
Q2. Can I take short positions in CFD FX?
Yes, CFD FX is available for both Long and Short positions.
Q3. Is auto liquidation applicable to CFD FX?
Yes, auto liquidation will be enabled. Please contact your trading representative or contact us for more details.
Q4. Does CFD FX expire or do I need to deliver underlying currencies on the value date?
No, CFD FX does not expire and does not require delivery as the position is cash settled. Customer can hold the position as long as the account maintains margin requirements of the position. There is no hidden cost for expiry roll over.
Q5. What are the costs related to trading CFD FX?
There will be commission cost. CGSI offers very thin spreads and provides the best prices to our clients on CFD FX by charging a small commission rather than widening the spread. Please refer to Commission Schedule for more details on commission rates.
Swaps or rollover will be credited or debited from the account if the position is held overnight. Please refer toCFD FX Swap illustration sectionfor more details.
Q6. How is profit and loss reflected in my account?
Unrealized profit and loss on your open positions will be reflected in your account statement in the quoted currency. Your trading platform will reflect all unrealized profit and loss converted into your account's base currency for valuation purpose only.
Realized profit and loss on your closed position will also be reflected in your account statement in the quoted currency. CFD FX does not auto convert any cash flow resulted from CFD FX trading into other currencies until instructed by the customer.
Q7. What are the eligibility criteria for trading CFD FX?
You must have a CGSI CFD trading account and have signed Form 13 in order to trade CFD FX. Please refer toGetting Started for Cash Index CFD sectionfor more details.
